Redfin Scholarship Applicants must be Legal U.S. resident, Eighteen years of age or older, Graduating high school senior or current freshman, sophomore, or junior in college attending an accredited university or college, Cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale Deadline: August 1st, 2019
The Gates Scholarship The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation, and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Deadline: September 15th, 2019
QuestBridge Scholarship For students who are high achieving and low income. (70% of Finalists are among the first generation in their family to attend a U.S. four-year college.) Deadline: September 26, 2019

If you need a work permit for a summer job (AFTER employer job offer) you must do the following to obtain a work permit. Yes, you do need a work permit if you are under 18 years old!
Complete a Green “Statement of Intent To Employ A Minor and Request For A Work Permit” Form. Forms are available at the district (address below).
NOTE: THIS FORM IS NOT THE WORK PERMIT BUT MUST BE COMPLETED FIRST IN ORDER TO PROCESS THE PERMIT!
Once completed, students should bring this form (CDE Form B1-1) to the District Office (Educational Services) for the work permit to be completed. Statement of intent forms are also available at the district office. STUDENTS: PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU COME TO ENSURE SOMEONE IS THERE TO ASSIST YOU! PERMITS MAY TAKE UP TO A WEEK TO PROCESS AT THE DISTRICT!
